This is a tiny village. Ruins of the then most attractive of Irish Palladian Houses, said to have been designed by Lovett Pearce and Richard Cassells in 1731 and attached landscapes can be seen here. Though a castle here survived many a time from being destroyed by fire, the Civil War in 1922 was an occasion when it was shattered.
